TO MAKE UP

Beginning at one corner, sew (tack and carefully match) the border around the centre, gathering it at the corners to keep work flat. Sew evenly to keep seam from binding. Sew the cast-off edge of the border to the cast-on edge. Roll shawl in a damp towel for several hours, then spread out flat, pinning each point out separately with rustless pins and leave until dry.

Gentle waves of the ocean. Shetland lace.
